LAXART and the Hammer Museum have put the works of 60 artists together for "Made in LA" which launched last weekend at The Hammer, LAXART, and the Art Gallery at Barnsdall Park.

The exhibit focuses mostly on emerging and under-recognized artists and will run until September 2, so you have plenty of time to mosey on over to these cool Los Angeles locales to check out the show.

On June 28, 5 of the 60 artists will be selected as semi-finalists to receive a $100,000 award from philanthropists Jarl and Pamela Mohn. Make sure to register at the iPad kiosk to be eligible to vote online or at any of the institutions for one of the five semi-finalists. The winner will be chosen by the public!

Here is the teaser video for the "Made in LA" show.
Here are the addresses for Made in LA. If you have never been to Barnsdall Park in Hollywood, you will be excited to find gorgeous views of LA and Frank Lloyd Wright's famous "Hollyhock House" that he designed back in the 20's. It's under construction momentarily so it might be best to save this location for last.
