China Town was the place to be last Thursday night and this Friday night is no different.
Beastie Boy, Mike D, curated this almost-month-long art show at The Geffen Contemporary MOCA last weekend and he kicked it off with an energetic set by the awesome Santigold.
There was an open bar and short rib tacos by Roy Choi from his infamous Kogi Truck.
(I may have had them 3 nights in a row at Coachella last weekend...don't repeat that.)
SURPRISE MUSICAL GUEST this Friday night will be extremely special and space is limited,
so purchase your FREE TICKETS this Thursday, April 26 at 10am right here.
I know what's good for you!
Of course the Cy Twombly Opening at Gagosian is the same night, but it will hardly compare.
At least attempt to attend both if you're torn.
If you haven't checked it yet, MOCA is showing Takeshi Murata, Mike Mills and Tom Sachs with fun walk-through spaces and visuals that draw you right in.
And the Cai Guo Qiang exhibit is still open to browse, also.
Here is a short video I took on my iPhone of this trippy installation that feels like you've been sucked into a video game. The clip doesn't do it any justice but give it a spin anyways.
Hope to see you out this Friday night at either event!
