Your favorite consignment store has been collecting and storing massive amounts of Chanel, let's face it, your drug of choice, for days. All in preparation for this event. Crackhead that you are, you're reeling with excitement. Chanel handbags line the walls. Iconic tweed jackets and cashmere sweaters laden in Coco's signature camillia buttons float on racks like dreams come true. Shelf after shelf of vintage Chanel pearl necklaces gracefully lay draped over black velvet. Just the thought is enough to send you spinning into outer space. But earth to Matilda! It's time to head over to Decades for their annual Cuckoo for Coco event, or what I have dubbed their weekend of "All Chanel Everything Chanel". Organized by size, it wont take you long at all to sift through these to find what fits. When you're done trying on every cropped tweed in your size, head upstairs to the jewelry cases where something is bound to fit... My sister will no doubt be rocking this lucite bangle next month on the beaches of St. Barths. Obviously, she would've been lost without it. This navy linen blazer with white buttons is a perfect fit and match for the adorable clutch she scored. And for a feminine and soft edge this beige cashmere is an elegant and cozy way to go. Here is a closer look at the adorable buttons. And for the piece de resistance! This gorgeously woven, colorful tweed handbag. It's classic, yet the color scheme is edgy. I love the textured feel of the wool and the thickly interlaced threads. The fuschia and the red mixed together are great for a night out, and the pretty pastels pop against the black. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, all this bag needs to do is call, and I'll be there, yes I will. If you don't want to bathe in the splendor that is the Decades Boutique, check it out online at http://www.decadestwo1.com/shop/featured
There's still a beautiful, yellow tweed handbag available, just teetering on the brink of disappearing from out of your reach forever. ;-) Kelly Wearstler's fabulous new store has opened just in time for the holidays! Whether you have holiday shopping to do for others or want to buy some resort inspired silks for your trip to St. Barths you need to head straight over to her store in Weho! On the corner of Melrose and Everything-Your-Heart-Desires, you will find Kelly's timeless, mod furniture and interior housewares along with her new clothing line and breezy resort collection. We all know Kelly Wearstler for her impeccable designs and loud but chic, unapologetic prints. Most famous for her black and white designs at the Viceroy in Palm Springs, Kelly encapsulates effortless cool and poolside cocktails. Here are a few of the pieces I tried on... I took home this turquoise, paint splattered blouse and some stunning silk pants!
![]() Sure, "S&M looks" can be a little aggressive. But c'mon let's face it, that's part of the appeal. From Burberry's studded Porsum collection to Herve's bondage dresses, we can all agree that a little naughty in your wardrobe never scared nobody. If you want to stay ahead of the curve, get inspired with some of these badass designs by Zana Bayne. Her collection of leather harnesses, belts and boot straps are more popular now than ever, especially since she styled Lady Gaga's 'You and I' music video. Sneak a peek at some of her designs below. These racy leather pieces are actually pretty versatile. It's all in the styling! Check out this pic of Rachel Bilson from Nylon Mag's November issue. Bilson has that dowy-eyed girl next door quality and yet fetishy fashion works for her. This look on her is sexy but still soft and sophisticated. Paired with a button down, lighter colors and a cozy sweater, this harness may as well be a pair of suspenders! So go ahead, harness your fears and take the fetish fashion plunge!
Hermès has a new collection now available in NY and Beverly Hills! Made from their defective inventory, 'Petit h" reflects a more sustainable spirit of the line for today's greener generation. Pascale Mussard described it as a series of "unidentified poetic objects" crafted together by god-given elves! LOL, I mean, by the company's artisans over at Hermes who are privileged enough to breathe new life into these so-called imperfect Birkins and silk scarves. I love the concept behind 'Petit h' because its creations are all unique and handcrafted. And with prices ranging anywhere from $70 to $70,000 there's something here for every occasion. Take a looksie at some of the products below: These show stoppers were on every fashionista's wishlist from here to the factory they came from in Italy. These fabulous booties scream RETRO! They have a vintage 70's vibe and yet the banana heel cannot be mistaken for anything other than a modern day Miu Miu Cinderella slipper. Because these glitzy heels are ankle booties I've worn them casually with a pair of jeans or harem pants for a glamorous daytime look or dressed them up with a 40's inspired dress for an effortless evening look. Whenever I spot a pair I bow my head reverently, knowing full well these puppies are a collector's item already.
![]() I love these daring winged frames by JEREMY SCOTT for Linda Farrow. The lens has the round spectacle look which is pretty rock n' roll and then the wings add a cat-eye which makes these one sexy pair of shades. Now let's talk about the genius that is Jeremy Scott! First off, Karl Lagerfeld was quoted in the french paper "Le Monde" saying that Scott was the only designer who could ever succeed him at Chanel. (Shrug) No. Big. Deal. Second, he is like the Jeff Koons of the fashion world, in the way that he chooses to incorporate American pop culture icons and loud prints into his designs. Looking forward to some more outrageous designs soon! Here is a look at some Scott designs for Adidas: ![]() This Proenza Schouler handbag polishes off any casual look and adds that extra pop of both color and texture that every outfit needs. I am a huge fan of this tribal design and these burnt out yellows and oranges are perfect for Fall. The leather straps add a western, cowboy feeling to this sleek, sophisticated design, making this bag super hip. |
